Wild Honey

32 foot
Bruny Island, Tasmania
Australia

Wild Honey is a gaff cutter built in 2000, and is the sister ship to both Ubique and Aziza - with all three boats still being moored within sight of each other!

She's built from blue gum backbone and ribs, celery top pine planking, which was copper nailed and roved. She's got celery top pine deck over plywood, with a King Billy pine transom, and Huon Pine cabin top and skylight. Wild Honey has Myrtle trim, and spars made from salvaged Oregon, with blocks and deadeyes handmade from salvaged Red Gum. Rigging is 3/8 galvanised wire.

She was built at The Shipwrights Point School of Wooden Boat Building in Franklin, Tasmania under the direction of Chris + Pip Burke.
She's currently moored on Bruny Island and is still owned by Chris and Pip, with 2020 seeing her get a complete bare wood spring clean!
