Minke

30 foot
Morro Bay, CA
USA

MINKE was built from Lyle Hess "Falmouth Cutter" Plan #177. Se whas finished by mid 1992. Later she was fitted with an engine and was repowered with a Yanmar 2YM30 in 2006, which it has now. I have a copy of the cruising log that begins with splash on Aug 10, 1992 and continues with entries all over the world ending with an entry in July 2013 as follows: "I am very sad to say that the Captain of the good ship MINKE has passed away peacefully at the house in Point Arena. He fought a coageous battle with his disease. I will miss you so my darling". The log reflects a cruising life and friends, with times of no wind and at times more than would be appreciated. She was subsequently sold to John Petersen, who sold it to Lisa and Charlie, current owners, of Paso Robles, CA.

MINKE is beloved by her original builders and subsequent owners!

Charlie and Lisa were also kind enough to share a series of photo albums that are well worth a look.
